Certifications & Compliance

Every export shipment is supported by the food-safety, regulatory and religious certifications required by the destination market. This page summarises the standards we operate under and how to verify them.

This page is maintained by Brazil Prime Foods Export. The standards described are independent third-party frameworks; this content is not itself a certification. Please request the current dated certificates for the specific plant and product covering your purchase order.

Standards we operate under

The frameworks behind every shipment

Brazil's regulatory framework is among the most stringent in global agri-export. Our partner plants combine government inspection with internationally recognised food-safety and religious certifications.

SIF, Federal Inspection Service

Every animal-protein plant we source from in Brazil must hold a valid SIF registration issued by MAPA (Ministério da Agricultura e Pecuária). SIF authorises a facility for inter-state and export trade and is a prerequisite for shipment to most destination markets.

HACCP, Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points

HACCP is the internationally recognised framework for identifying, evaluating and controlling food-safety hazards across slaughter, processing, freezing and loading. All partner plants operate documented HACCP plans audited by their certifying body and by destination-market authorities.

Codex Alimentarius, HACCP principles

ISO 22000, Food Safety Management

ISO 22000 sets the global standard for an end-to-end food safety management system, combining HACCP principles with management-system requirements and prerequisite programs. Partner facilities are audited by accredited third-party certification bodies.

Halal Certification

Halal-line products are processed under continuous supervision by a recognised Islamic certifier (for Brazilian exports typically CDIAL Halal, FAMBRAS Halal or equivalent). Certificates of Halal Slaughter accompany each consignment shipped to Muslim-majority markets.

Kosher Certification

Kosher-line products are produced under rabbinical supervision and shipped with the corresponding kosher certificate issued by the certifying authority (e.g. OK Kosher, OU, KLBD).

Plant registrations & certificate scans

Live certificates and SIF plant numbers issued to our specific partner facilities. Each entry can be verified against the issuing body's public registry.

Documents available on request

Current SIF plant numbers, HACCP, ISO 22000 and Halal/Kosher certificates are issued to specific partner plants and rotate as production allocations change. We share the exact, dated certificate set relevant to your enquiry once a product, volume and destination are confirmed, this avoids publishing certificates that may not apply to your shipment.

Documents typically provided per shipment: SIF plant registration, HACCP / ISO 22000 certificate of the producing plant, Halal or Kosher certificate (where applicable), Veterinary Health Certificate, and Certificate of Origin.
